Program Winter  2019

 

Glide into winter with cross-country skiing.  Our Ski School director Rudy Sudrich has experience teaching and coaching all levels of skiers from beginners to Olympic caliber athletes.  Assisting Rudy this season again will be Jennifer MacKeigan an active orienteering coach and ski expert from Coast Mountain Sports who is available to teach our courses in French and Judy Hartling active biathlon coach.

 

The following lessons are being offered in conjunction with the Whitehorse Cross-Country Ski Club on a continuous basis from November to March next year. Take advantage of the ski club’s world-class facility and trails.

 

Just Try It:

Never skied? Don’t know what to do? Worried about asking “stupid” question?

Scared of falling? Don’t have equipment, let Rudy, Judy or Jennifer help you out. With them, you don’t need to worry and there are no stupid questions!

Two fun lessons for only $50.00 plus trail fees.  Coast Mountain Sports will throw in free

rentals for these lessons.  See Rudy or staff for  details.

Lessons are held Tuesday and Thursday from 6:30 to 7:30 PM

 Starting Tuesday November 19th and runs continuously till March 2020.

  

Easy Start:

  Get the basics in four fun lessons for $80.00 plus trail fees.

Need Equipment?  Coast Mountain Sports will provide free rentals for these lessons.

Getting Better:

  Getting Better is for the intermediate skier who wants to get better.  The goal is to be comfortable skiing moderate terrain.   Getting Better will emphasize skill development in classic technique as well as waxing and general fitness.  Getting Better is comprised of eight one and ½ hour lessons.  The cost is $140.00 plus trail fees.

Lessons are Monday and Wednsday from 6:30 to 8:00 PM.

Begins Monday, November 18th.

 

Skating Class – Beginners: 

Experience the art of skating.  Working towards the mastery of skating, these 6 lessons will develop techniques and training exercises to work towards perfecting today’s array of skating styles. We have limited number of skating skis to try. Sundays at 11:30.  Meet at Waxing room.

Lessons will start with enough snow at the stadium.

Cost: $180.00 for six lessons plus trails fees.

 

Private Lessons:

Time constraints? Want to focus on a specific technique?  Then book a private or semi-private lesson.  The cost is $40.00/hr for a private lesson, $20.00/hr per person for a semiprivate lesson and $15.00/hr per person for 3 or more people               Plus trail fees.
