Most people prefer to cross country ski when the temperature is -5 degrees Celsius to -15 degrees Celsius. Waxing is easy and your skis have great glide. However, skiing at warmer or colder temperatures is still lots of fun!

Ed Schiffkorn, A Club Pioneer
The ski community lost one of it's 'pioneers' last week. Ed Schiffkorn was a key figure in the early years of downhill and cross country skiing in Whitehorse. He was a downhill skier and participated in the Canada Winter Games in the 60's. He was instrumental in the development of downhilll skiing at Haekel Hill in the 70's.
