Cheechako Lessons

For skiers 15 years and older who have never skied before. A 1 ½ hour lesson that includes: how to wax, how to select equipment, basic diagonal stride, basic up hill and down hill techniques.

Cost: $40.00 per person
Includes lesson, day pass and rental equipment

Sourdough Classic

For experienced skiers who want to improve. A 1 ½ hour lesson that includes: wax tips, equipment evaluation/selection, how to improve diagonal stride and other classic techniques.

Sourdough Skate

For experienced skiers who want to try or improve their skating technique. A 1 ½ hour lesson that includes: waxing, equipment evaluation/selection, introduction to skating.

Cost: $25.00 per person ($10.00 extra to rent skating equipment)

Video Analysis

A great way to improve your technique! A ½ hr session for $25 that includes video, private analysis and on snow follow-up if needed. Book an appointment at the Ski Base Service Centre or call (867) 668-4477.

Ski Clinics

Basic Skate Clinic

Who: Experienced skiers who want to try skating.

This clinic will introduce skiers to all skate techniques:  1-skate, 2-skate, offset skate, diagonal skate, free skate, 1/2 skate.  There will be an emphasis on basic skating skills such as balancing on one ski, pole plant timing and lateral weight transfer.  Some time will be spent providing information on equipment selection.

Cost: $25.00 ($10.00 extra for skate skis/boot rentals)
