Become A Volunteer
Volunteering for the ski club is a great way to meet other skiers and to share in creating a facility in which we can all take pride.
In the 2011/2012 season there were 265 club volunteers who were Jackrabbit leaders, ski swap workers, coaches, race officials, trail groomers, administrators and so on.
If you want to find out more, call the club at (867) 668-4477 or send us an email.
To volunteer right away, fill out the Ski Club Volunteer Form and send it to the club.
Thank You For Volunteering!
Volunteers Needed For These Jobs!
Summer and Fall Work Parties
Volunteers are needed to assist with tree and brush trimming in the fall.
Installing, Repairing and Removing Snowfencing
Snowfencing in the stadium area requires some repairs.
Wax & Wine Socials
The ski club requires somebody who would be willing to help oganize or present at the Wax & Wines in November, January and February.
Small Electronic Repairs and Improvements
We are always in need of a volunteer to do repair work on the snowmachine switches, lights, and controls. If you have the knowledge to do electronics or electrical repairs and have some basic tools please let us know.
If you would like to help with grooming, let us know. There is a Basic Grooming Clinic in November.
Trail grooming volunteers should have some familiarity with snowmobiles and should be available either for morning (6:30-9:00) or evening (7:30 to 9:30).
Jackrabbit Leaders and Helpers
The club is recruiting leaders and helpers for the Jackrabbit and Bunny ski programs. Leaders should be competent skiers and must be willing to take at least one training course if not already certified as a Community Coach. Courses will be provided by Cross Country Yukon during October and January. Call the ski club office at 668-4477 for details or contact Sarah Murray, our programs manager at firstname.lastname@example.org
